Mrs. Dorothy Hammond age 87, Passed peacefully away on Monday February 18th, 2019 at Dr. Walter Templeman Health Care Centre, Bell Island. Predeceased by her husband Thomas M. Hammond, parents; Robert and Elizabeth Lane. Leaving to mourn son Thomas, sister Loretta Byrne. Sisters-in-law Loretta Hartery, Loretta Lane and Olive Hammond, nieces, nephews, friends and neighbours. Special thank-you to the staff of the Dr. Walter Templeman Health Care Centre. Resting at Pendergast’s Funeral Home, Bell Island on Wednesday, Feb. 20 from 2-4pm and 7-9 pm and Thursday Feb. 21 from 2-4 pm and 7-9pm. Funeral service will take place at St. Michael’s Parish, Bell Island Friday Feb. 22, 2019 at 11a.m. Interment to follow at the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Lance Cove, Bell Island. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Nfld.
