The death occurred at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside surrounded by family on Saturday February 23, 2019 of John Beniot Buote St. Roch aged 81 years. Beloved husband of Jean (Ellsworth) Buote. He was born in St. Roch on July 14, 1937, the son of Oville and Mary (Blanchard) Buote. Dear father to Bernice Wedge (Louie), St. Roch; Brian Buote, Skinners Pond; Kevin Buote (Crystal), Cascumpec and Dale Buote (Karrie Anne), Mount Pleasant. Loving grandfather to Marissa, MacKenzie and Matana Wedge; Riley, Isabelle, Gracie, Chandler, Lucas, Liam, Aubree, Tamica and Merleah Buote. He is also survived by a sister Minnie Gaudet, Tignish; brothers and sisters-in-law Beatrice Buote, St. Roch, Roger & Barb Ellsworth, Charlottetown, Wade Ellsworth, Nail Pond, Angus MacFadgen, Stratford and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by parents Oville and Mary, brothers Joe, Alfred, daughter-in-law Jeannie, mother and father-in-law Richard and Mary Ellsworth, sister-in-law Ruth, brother-in-law Freddie. Resting at the West Prince Funeral Home, 522 Thompson Road for visiting hours Monday 6-9 pm and Tuesday from 9-9:45 am. Funeral will be held Tuesday February 26, 2019 at St. Simon & St. Jude Church, Tignish with funeral mass at 10:30 am. Celebrant Rev. John Molina. Memorial donations to Heart & Stroke Foundation or Diabetes Association would be greatly appreciated. Interment will take place at a later date in the church cemetery.
