Passed peacefully away at Carbonear General Hospital in the presence of his loving family, on Sunday, February 24, 2019, Major Donald Snook, age 82 years. Predeceased by his parents, Thomas and Alice Snook; brothers: George, Maurice “Bill” and Charlie Snook; sisters: Abbie Belle, Marjorie, Harriett, Susie and Jessie; and brother-in-law, Harry. Leaving to mourn his loving wife of 57 years and partner in ministry, Leah Snook (nee Penney); his children: Donna Gilbert (Terry), Delrie Snook and Donnie Snook; his grandchildren: Victoria Spencer (Andy) and Emma Gilbert; his precious great-grandchildren: twin sisters Amelia and Isabelle Spencer; brother, Maxwell Snook (Joan); sister-in-law, Jessie Noftal; as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family and a large circle of friends and neighbours – all of whom took such wonderful care of our Dad. Resting at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue, on Thursday, February 28 from 12noon-3pm and 7-9pm. Funeral service will be held from the Salvation Army West Corps, Mundy Pond Road on Friday, March 1, 2019 at 2:30pm, with interment to follow at the Salvation Army Cemetery, Blackmarsh Road.
