It is with great sadness that our family announces that Nora Louise MacKay (Drover) at the age of 78 died unexpectedly at her home in Brampton on February 24, 2019. Louise was born during a storm on February 16, 1941 in Sydney Cape Breton Nova Scotia and was taken from us on February 24th in Ontario during a terrible wind and snow storm.
Louise as she was known to most is predeceased by her sisters, Gertrude, Ivy, Mary and Jean and her brothers, Jim, Bill and Carl Drover. Louise was also predeceased by her son, Ernest Junior known to most as little Ernie also pre-deceased by her first child, Margaret Ann who was stillborn.
Nora Louise was born to George and Annie Drover. George Drover and Annie Halloway (her maiden name) we’re both from Newfoundland.
She was a loving mother, she was a devoted grandmother, she was a loyal friend. She loved country and western music and she loved Elvis. She loved anything Christmas and could always find a home for any Santa figurine. She will be so deeply missed by her friends and family and her nieces and nephews whom she loved with all her heart.
Her funeral is being held in Brampton Ontario at Ward funeral home on Main Street on Saturday, March 2 from 12:30 to 3 with the service to follow at 3 o’clock.
