The friends of C. Ursula Taylor (née McIntyre), will be saddened to learn of her passing at the Queensway Carleton Hospital, Ottawa on February 26th, 2019, at the age of 84. Ursula was born April 10, 1934 in Glace Bay, N.S. to Peter and Anne (Connington) McIntyre. She is survived by her sons Ron, Summerside, PEI; Ken (Carolyn), Kanata, Ont.; Peter (Nancy), Trenton, Ont.; David (Alaine), Ladner, BC; Cary, Sydney, NS and sister, Anne (Vince) MacDonald, Halifax. She was predeceased by siblings Manning, Bernard, Connie, Allister, Charles and Joan. Ursula (Gran) had 12 grandchildren, including Jessica, Alexandra and Burke Taylor of PEI. She joined the Armed Forces after high school, married and raised her family on various military bases across Canada. including CFB Summerside, PEI. In 1983 she moved to Ottawa and worked at the Parliament Buildings as a Commissionaire until her retirement. Ursula was a kind and patient lady, loved by all who knew her. She enjoyed her sports and was a big fan of the Ottawa Senators and her beloved Blue Jays. Her granddaughter described her as the funniest and most competitive person she knew, especially at Scrabble. Cremation has taken place. Private family memorial will take place in the Spring in Ottawa.
