Annie McEachern
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our sister, Annie McEachern on Saturday, March 2nd, 2019 at Maple Hill Manor.
Born 1931, in New Waterford, Annie was the daughter of the late Dan and Ida (Clements) McEachern.
Annie was very well known throughout the community. She volunteered at Maple Hill Manor for twenty-three years, with her last years spent as a resident. Annie was very active participating in ceramics, quilting club, exercise class, travelling with her friends to Florida & Las Vegas and most importantly she was known for her love of line dancing (which I’m sure she will be doing in heaven).
Annie was a member of St. Agnes Parish, currently Parish of St. Leonard.
Annie is survived by her brother, Wilfred (Agnes) McEachern, New Waterford, brother, Hugh McEachern, Sudbury; sister, Dorothy (Tommy) Ling, New Waterford; many nieces and nephews; a very special friend, Lee (Ralph) Campbell and family; Ruth McNeil and her lifelong church friends.
Besides her parents, Annie was predeceased by twin brothers in infancy, four-year-old brother, Raymond, brother, Daniel McEachern and sister, Emmeline McNeil.
There will be no visitation. Cremation has taken place under the direction of V.J. McGillivray Funeral Home, 380 Smith Street New Waterford.
A funeral mass will be celebrated Tuesday, March 5, 10 a.m. in the Parish of St. Leonard with a luncheon to follow at the Knights of Columbus (KOC) Hall, Plummer Avenue, New Waterford. Fr. Ray Huntley officiating. Interment at a later date in St. Agnes Cemetery.
The family would like to thank the nurses and staff of Maple Hill Manor for the excellent care and love given to our sister Annie. We would also like to thank the Residents of Maple Hill who became her second family. A special thank you to her niece, Jennie McGillivray.
