Phyllis Anne SIMONS

Phyllis Anne, my beloved wife and best friend, passed away peacefully on March 3, 2019 to be with her wonderful parents Delmar and Diane Duffy, as well as her brothers Joseph, Charles, James and Gerald in heaven. She was married to me for over 48 years. They were great years and I will miss her dearly. Over our marriage we traveled to many places throughout the world and made many great friends. She was a very positive person and enjoyed everything, everyone, everywhere. Playing cards, no matter what game, made her very joyful. She enjoyed visiting friends and family never said no to traveling all over the world. She enjoyed time with her family, especially at our cottage as well as spending our winters in North Myrtle Beach with our beloved Camp Wrinkle friends. She also enjoyed golfing with friends at the Amherst Golf Club. She never missed wishing people a birthday or anniversary wish. She will be sadly missed by myself, Gordon, her surviving sisters Connie Carruthers and Lynn (John) Welcher as well as many nieces, nephews, and their extended families. Funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of the Jones Family Funeral Centre, 70 Church St, Amherst, NS where visitation will take place on Sunday from 4 pm until 7 pm with parish prayers taking place at 6 pm on Sunday, March 10, 2019. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Holy Family Parish, Amherst, on Monday, March 11, 2019, at 11 am, Father Craig Christenson officiating. A special thanks to the staffs at the Cumberland Regional Hospital, Moncton City Hospital, the Cumberland VON and the Palliative Care Group at CRHCC. Those wishing to make a donation in memory of Phyllis may do so to the charity of your choice, and give your loved ones a big hug for Phyllis.
