After a courageous struggle with cancer Gladys passed away on March 5, 2019 with her sister, her close companion Frank and her friend Enid by her side. She was born to the late Samuel & Matilda King of Victoria Cove. She is predeceased by her sisters: Marjorie/ Ernie/ Joe, Beatrice (Don), Eileen (Gerald); brothers: Clarence & Donald. She is survived by her brother: Bernard (Norma); sister: Sybil (Gerry); sisters-in-law: Cecily and Aleta; as well as her good friend Frank. She was a favourite aunt of many nieces & nephews who she dearly loved. Gladys had a long career in the health field as an EEG tech. Gladys & Frank were world travellers and she loved their many trips together. She volunteered for many years at the Agnes Pratt home, and was a member of the auxiliary. She was a talented knitter and she loved to garden. She was an avid walker, loved her fitness classes and sang in the Wesley United Church Choir. Gladys shared her life with many close friends who showed her much kindness, concern and love plus amazing meals during her illness. A sincere thank you to all her friends. To the kind and supportive staff doctors & nurses at the Dr. L.A. Miller Centre a heartfelt thank you as well. A special thank you to nurse Derek who was with us with Gladys passed.
