Passed peacefully away on Sunday, March 10, 2019, surrounded by his loving family, at the Dr. L.A. Miller CentRe Palliative Care Unit, Reginald Bowering, aged 91 years. Predeceased by wife Mildred (2014); son Fred; parents Thomas and Florence Bowering; sons-in-law Earle Fisher and Don Nickerson. Survived by children Beverly, Ruth, Darlene (Ple), Darrell (Michelle), David (Sheila); grandchildren: Paul, Tracy (Mike), Tony (Lisa), Jason (Andrea), Heather (Andrew), Chris, Jessie, Ryan (Allie), Kyle; great-grandchildren: Devin, Ella, Henry, Gabe, Hayden and Avery; and loving sister Mary. Many thanks to the staff at Palliative Care and 4SouthB at the HSC. We would also like to send very special thanks to the staff of Hillcrest Estates for the wonderful care you provided our Dad with during his time there! He thought the world of you all – as do we! Our Dad has left a wonderful legacy of railroad stories that he gathered during his 40 years working with “The Railway”. He will lovingly be remembered with a smile each time we think of the wink in his eye and the point of his finger which always meant another story was on the way! Love you Dad! Visitation will take place at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue on Tuesday, March 12, from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm and on Wednesday, March 13, from 2-4 pm. Funeral service to take place at Elim Pentecostal Tabernacle on Thursday, March 14, 2019 at 11 am. Private family interment to take place at a later date.
