Phyllis Sudds

Born In: Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada
Born: May 20th, 1931

Phyllis, age 87 of Halifax, born May 20, 1931 in Sydney, Nova Scotia left us suddenly on March 8, International Women’s Day.
She was a daughter of the late John and Mary Jane Lively.
Phyllis was married for 55 years to the love of her life, Thomas Sudds. Phyllis lived her life with a full heart and dedicated herself to the raising of her family, helping others, and ensuring that everyone near and far felt the depths of her love and care. She was the embodiment of a true ‘care-giver’ and always put her focus on the physical and mental well-being of those in need. Her working hands have left lasting effects near and far.
Phyllis was always up for an adventure, for the telling and remembering of stories, and the next project or gathering there was to attend. She lived her life with an unmatched passion of joy and excitement. Phyllis spent her years between Sydney, Montreal, Lake Ainslie and Halifax and gathered close friends wherever she lived. Her favorite hobbies were sewing, cooking, and enjoying as much time as possible with her family and friends. She was certainly made of the finest cloth that life had to offer, and she will be missed by all.
She is survived by her children, Wayne (Karen) and Darlene; her grandchildren, Trevor (Angela), Tammy, Reid, Ainsley, Cynthia (Baldwin), Kyle (Alyssa), Melissa (Kyle), J.J.; her many great-grandchildren and her dear son-in-law, Andy Sarka. Phyllis was predeceased by her husband, Tom; her brothers, Buddy, Wayne Sandy, and Jack; her sisters, Mary, Virginia, Helen and Gladys; her loving children, Gary, Heather, and Keith and her grandson, Matthew.
Phyllis will be sadly missed by all that knew her and will remain a lasting part of everyone’s heart.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Inverness Palliative Care Society.
Arrangements are under the care of J. Albert Walker Funeral Home (2005) Ltd, 149 Herring Cove Rd.
