Jeannette MacKinnon
It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of Jeannette MacKinnon on March 19, 2019, surrounded by her family.
Jeannette was a devoted daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She was a loving and kind woman with a great sense of humour who cherished time spent with family and friends, especially her grandchildren who adored her.
She is predeceased by her parents, Norma Sager and Fred Maxner, and a brother, Ronald Maxner.
She will be forever missed by her husband, Tony; daughter, Tara Jones (Dave); son, Jarrett (Candace) and grandchildren, Rylan, Hayden, and Carly; sisters, Joyce Nearing (Richard), Joanne Yetman (John), Carla Maxner (Chris), Dolly Bayes, Mae Maxner; brothers, Fred Maxner (Sandra), Jimmy Maxner (Denise), and Johnny Maxner; the MacKinnon family and many nieces and nephews.
Cremation has taken place. A visitation will be held on Saturday, March 23, 2019, from 1 p.m. until the time of the service at 2 p.m. all held in V.J. McGillivray Funeral Home Chapel, 380 Smith Street, New Waterford, with Rev. Duncan Roach officiating. A Luncheon will follow at the Rev. Duncan Roach Fellowship Room in Calvin United Church, Hudson Street, New Waterford. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her memory to the Canadian Cancer Society, or a charity of one’s choice.
