The family of the late Stanley Vickers wish to extend our sincere gratitude and appreciation to the many friends and extended family, for the gifts of food, the expressions of sympathy and generous donations to the many community causes near to the heart of Stan. We would especially like to thank Stan's CN bowling team who acted as honorary pallbearers and the members of the Kiwanis Golden K for their role as Honour Guard. Special thanks to Rev. Nick Phillips of Carmen United Church for his inspirational service, to the members of Carmen United Church Choir for the musical accompaniment and to the UCW for the lunch following the service. Granddaughter Dawn and grandson Michael also deserve a special thank you for their kind recollection and spiritual reading. Many thanks to Dr. Paul Hickey who went well beyond the call of duty over the last few years of Stan's life providing special care and ensuring he received the best medical treatment possible and especially for the friendship they shared for many years. We would also like to thank Dr. Amy Wambolt, the nurses and staff at the Northside General Hospital for ensuring Stan's last weeks were as comfortable and peaceful as possible. Thank you to Manning and staff of J.M. Jobes Funeral Home for their compassionate professional services during a difficult time.
