It is with great sadness that the family of the late Ivan Valence Crocker announce his peaceful passing at the Palliative Care Unit of Western Memorial Regional Hospital, Corner Brook, NL on Tuesday, March 26th, 2019 at the age of 72 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories his siblings: Clayton (special friend Pat Fagan), Hazel (Clayton) Penney, David, Madelyn, Keith (Ruth) Crocker, sisters-in-law: Ruth Crocker and Sandra (Tom) Anstey, as well as his many special nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews; also, his good friend Ray Easton. Ivan is predeceased by his parents: Roland and Elizabeth Crocker; brothers: Raymond and Harry. Special thanks to the doctors and nurses who took care of Ivan throughout the past year and in particular the nurses of the Palliative Care Unit, your kindness and compassion helped the family so very much during this difficult time. At Ivan’s request, cremation has taken place. A visitation for family and friends will take place at Country Haven Funeral Home, 167 Country Road, on Friday, March 29, 2019 from the hours of 2-4 and 7-9 pm. We encourage all of Ivan’s Barber Shop customers to drop by and share their stories. A private family interment will take place on Saturday, March 30th at Mount Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, there are no flowers by request, donations may be made to the Hearts and Stroke Foundation, Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of one’s choice.
