Edward William Llott

With great sadness, Edward William Ilott, passed away suddenly at his Summerside home at the age of 80. He was born in Victoria, BC. and was the last remaining member of his family. He leaves behind his wife Mary (nee Corr), Williams, Ilott. They had 39 years and travelled to Europe and many U. S States. With their union Ed has 12 stepchildren. He lovingly raised Susan and Carol, Joanne (David) Darrach, Summerside; Beth Jardine, Bible Hill, NS; Phyllis (deceased) Nay McAvinn, Borden; Bernard (deceased) Debbie Williams, Augustine Cove, grandson, Jason Williams (deceased), AB; Wendy (Seymour) DesRoches, Chelton; Gleason (deceased) Williams, NB; Glen (Debbie) Williams, Calgary, AB; Shelley (Kevin) Malone, Kinkora; David (Anna) Williams, Lethbridge, AB; Paul Williams, Summerside; Susan ( Remy ) Page, Cape Traverse, Carol (Thierrey) Durand, Greenwood, NS. Predeceased are Ed’s parents, brother, Jimmy and sisters, Rosemary and Glenna (all deceased) of Victoria BC. An uncle to Susan (Rick) Foster, Dallas Smith and Roseanne Podwisocki all from Victoria, BC. Ed was a terrific grandfather to 30 grandchildren. He was an entertainer, jokester, and loved drawing with the grandchildren and teaching them new rhymes with actions. He continued this on to his 39 great grandchildren. They lived in Canada, from PE to BC, New York, and Korea. He loved dancing where he met Mary Williams from Kinkora. Hobbies were fishing, cards, bridge, art and his greatest passion was gardening. He loved his dog Clancy. He was stationed in Alert, Charlottetown, DeBert, NS, Nanaimo, BC, Holberg, BC, Borden, ON, Kingston, ON, Egypt and Greenwood, NS. After retiring from the Air Force, Ed opened a business for 15 years - “Tommy’s Septic Services”. He was a member of Wing Summerside, Summerside Legion. Resting at Lawless Funeral Home, Kinkora. Visiting hours on Thursday, March 28 from 2 to 5 pm. Borden Legion Branch #10 will have a service of Remembrance at the funeral home on Thursday, March 28 at 1:45 pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Malachy’s Church, Kinkora on Friday, March 29, 2019 at 10:30 am. Interment later in St. Malachy’s church cemetery. www.lawlessfuneralhome.ca.
