Alan Leamon passed peacefully away on March 27, 2019, at age 74 after a long and difficult battle with Alzheimer’s and cancer. Predeceased by both his parents, Victor and Emma Leamon, brother Leonard, of Port-Aux-Basques, and sister Irma Bennett; as well as parents-in-law, Harold and Audrey Gray of Lumsden, NL. Survived and mourned by his wife, Patricia, sons Eugene of Vancouver and Jonathan (Aimee), two grandchildren, Kate and Benjamin, of Paradise; and sister Elizabeth Bown of Calgary, AB. Four brothers: Dorman, Ronald, Gilbert and Shawn (Linda). Sisters-in-law Natalie Sparks (Derek) of Mount Pearl and Doreen Tiller of Mackenzie, BC. Along with a large number of relatives and friends. Born in Burnt Islands, NL, on Feburary 26, 1945, Alan has lived in many locations across the country, the last four years in Lumsden. He entered the Pleasantview Towers nursing home, St. John's, on September 25, 2018, where he resided until his death. Special thank-you to the staff for their compassionate and expert care. Funeral services will take place on Monday, April 1 at 2:00 pm at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 1180 Kenmount Road, Paradise, NL. Frank Gray will officiate. No viewing or visitation. Cremation has taken place. Internment to follow at a later date at the cemetery of Jehovah's Witnesses, Lumsden, NL. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made for the cemetery expenses.
