At the Prince County Hospital Summerside on Monday April 1, 2019 of Dr. Wilfred Reginald (Bunny) Gillis, MD of Summerside and Indian River aged 82 years. Born in Halifax, April 13, 1936, son of the late Hazleton and Irene Higgins) and Peggy (Higgins) Gillis. Husband of June (Jordan) Gillis. He is survived by his children Heather, Michael (Jamie), Paul and Shawn and his step-children Mike, Steve, Charles and Andre. Grandfather of Nicholas, Lauren, Leah, Liam and Harper. Brother of Faye (Al) Ekholm, Gregory Gillis, Mirana (Jim) Lothiam and Jim (Lena) Gillis. Brother-in-law of Audrey Jordan, Bea Kennedy and Dolly Scott. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his brother Derry Gillis. Resting at the Davison Funeral Home Kensington. A celebration of Bunny’s life will be held at a later date.
