July 4, 1926 – April 8, 2019

Bernadette Kathryn Proctor (nee Doyle), of Hunter River, passed away peacefully at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Charlottetown, on Monday, April 8, 2019, at the age of 92. Bernadette was the wife of the late Leaming Proctor and is survived by her children: Patricia Brown (Andy, deceased) and John Proctor of Hunter River; she is also survived by her siblings, Pat Doyle (Pauline) (Oakville), Mary Walsh (Charlottetown), Margaret MacEwan (Charlottetown), Sr. Nora Doyle (Ireland), Faustina Gallant (Charlottetown), Genevieve Pineau (Merrill) (Charlottetown), Dunstan Doyle (Edmonton); and sister-in-law, Marion Doyle (Montreal); as well as several nieces and nephews. Besides her husband Leaming, who passed in 1959, Bernadette was predeceased by her parents, John and Mabel (Monaghan) Doyle of St. Anne’s; three infant siblings; infant son, Lloyd in 1947; brother, Linus Doyle; son-in-law, Andy Brown; and brothers-in-law, Vernie Walsh, Bill MacEwan and Elmer Gallant. Resting at Central Queens Funeral Home, 2538 Glasgow Road, New Glasgow, where friends will be received for visitation on Wednesday, April 10, 2019, from 4-7 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Anne’s Roman Catholic Church, Hope River, on Thursday, April 11, 2019 at 10:30 a.m. Interment at a later date. If so desired, memorial donations to the St. Ann’s Cemetery Fund, or the QEH Foundation would be appreciated.
