The death occurred at the Margaret Stewart Ellis Home, O’Leary on Monday April 8, 2019 of Hilda DesRoches formerly of Tignish aged 104 years. Wife of the late Gilbert DesRoches. She was born in Palmer Road North on March 23, 1915, daughter of the late John Amie and Marie Arsenault. Dear mother to Barry DesRoches, Tignish, Bobby DesRoches (Donna), Charlottetown, Norma Schwarth, B. C. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by parents John Amie and Marie, husband Gilbert, son Ralph, daughter Emily, brothers and sisters Eugene, Amie, Louise, Isabella, Josephine, Jane, Nelson, Aldon, Eva, Kate. Resting at the West Prince Funeral Home, 522 Thompson Road, Palmer Road for visiting hours Thursday April 11 from 1 – 2:30 PM then forwarded to St. Simon & St. Jude Church, Tignish where funeral mass will be celebrated at 3 PM. Celebrant Rev. John Molina. Interment will take place at a later date in the church cemetery.
