Shelley Kelly
It is with heavy hearts that we the family announce the sudden passing of Shelley Kelly at home at the age of 67.
Born in Glace Bay, she was the daughter of the late Agnes (McCormack/Gillis) and John Gould.
She was employed for 30 years at the Cape Breton Post.
She loved spending time with her best friends Beryl and Marie in the “Hot Stove League”, golfing with her husband throughout Cape Breton, and spending time with her grandchildren in Alberta.
Shelley is survived by her loving husband of 47 years, Walter (Weigi); daughter, Carrie (Mike) Van Doorn, Lethbridge Alberta; son, Michael (Amanda McNamara), Halifax; three grandchildren, Mackenzie, Brandon, and Kelsey Van Doorn.
Besides her parents, Shelley was predeceased by her brother, John Gillis.
Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held Sunday, April 14, 2019 from 6-8 p.m. at T.J. Tracey Cremation and Burial Specialists, 370 Reserve St., Glace Bay, NS (902-849-4199).
A Memorial Mass will be 11 a.m. Monday, April 15, 2019 at Immaculate Conception Church, Bridgeport, with Fr. Daniel Boudreau officiating. Reception to follow.
