Linda Colson
It is with the heaviest of hearts that we announce the passing of Linda Colson, age 63, on Wednesday, May 1, 2019 at the Palliative Care unit of the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney, after a short battle with cancer, with her loving family at her side.
Born on May 20, 1955 in Shallop Cove, Newfoundland, Linda was the daughter of the late Leslie and Viola Colson.
Linda is survived by her children, Charlene, Michael, Robert, Patrick and Anita; eight grandchildren; seven brothers; five sisters; as well as many nieces and nephews. She will be dearly missed.
Visitation and memorial service to celebrate the life of Linda Colson will be held at Pier Community Funeral Home, All Faith Chapel, 1092 Victoria Rd. (entrance on Church Street) on Monday, May 6, 2019. A gathering of family and friends will take place from 5 - 6 p.m. with service to follow at 6 p.m. in the chapel. Private family interment will take place in Forest Haven Memorial Gardens, Sydney at a later date.
Donations in memory of Linda may be made to the Cape Breton Cancer Care Centre or the Hospice Palliative Care Society of Cape Breton.
