The death occurred suddenly at his late residence on Monday, May 6th, 2019 of Walter Alexander Richards of Summerside, P.E.I., aged 78 years. Walter was born in Kinkora, P.E.I. to the late Alex and Hilda (nee Doiron) Richards. Beloved husband of the late Pat (nee Smith) Richards and loving father of Joseph of Alberta, Wilfred and Rose of Summerside, grandfather to Rebecca, Matthew and Austin and his special fur baby Snowball. Survived by the following brothers and sisters Alvin (Gerdie), Cedric (Anita), Charlotte (Dave), Douglas, James (Gloria), Joseph (Judy), Carl (Rita), Carol (Randy) and several nieces and nephews. Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Rd., Summerside until Friday May 10th, 2019 then to St. Paul’s church for a funeral mass at 2:00 p.m. Memorial donations in Walter’s memory to PEI Diabetes Association or the funeral expense fund would be greatly appreciated. Interment to take place in the church cemetery.
