The death occurred at the Summerset Manor, Summerside, on Wednesday, May 8, 2019, of Clarence “Kye” Gallant, of Summerside, aged 87 years. Born in Summerside, he was the son of the late William and Catherine (Martell) Gallant. Survived by his children Shirley Maxwell, Gail (Lornie) DesRoches, Susan Gallant, Cindy Gallant (Ricky), Linda (Jamie) Landry and Clarence Jr. "Boo" Gallant; daughter-in-law June Gallant; grandchildren Sheila, Jamie, Lawrence, Laurie, Sarah, Greg, Ben and Kiara; great-grandchildren Logan, Isabella, Hope and Madelyn; his sisters Dorothy Nickerson and Shirley Gallant; and by sisters-in-law Isabelle Gallant, Jean Gallant and Theresa Vatafu. Predeceased by his wife Zelda (Gaudet) Gallant; children Wayne, Billy, Gregory and Sheila; son-in-law Brian Maxwell; brothers Vernon “Vernie” and David; and by his sisters Irene Fear and Florence Warren. Resting at the Moase Funeral Home, Summerside, until Saturday, then to St. Paul's Church, Summerside, for funeral mass at 10:00 a.m. Interment in St. Paul's Cemetery, Summerside.
