We, the family of the late Sarah Catherine MacKenzie, wish to express our sincere thanks to relatives, friends and neighbours who supported us during the illness and loss of our mother. To those who phoned, visited, sent messages of condolences, brought food, gave memorial donations, sympathy cards or Mass cards, sent flowers, or attended the funeral service, we are grateful for your prayers, thoughtfulness and generosity. Thank you to Fr. Vargheese, Fr. Ray Huntley, Fr. Patrick O'Neill, St. Columba Choir, Pat Moore, Kevin McCormick, altar servers, readers, Eucharist ministers, gift bearers and to everyone whose participation made this moving and spiritual funeral liturgy. To Sandy, thank you for closing the grave site. To the ladies of the Christmas Island Fire Department, the tea and lunch provided after the funeral was delicious and very much appreciated. We would also like to express our thanks to EHS, the ER staff, Dr. Meghan Keating, Dr. Lisa MacInnis, staff and health care teams on 3B and 4C, VON and Continuing Care for their empathy and care. Very special thanks to family doctor, Dr. Reggie Sebastian, for the kindness, respect and compassion you have consistently shown to our mother over the years. Our calls were always received by Mary and Debbie in a cordial and pleasant manner; thank you. Thank you to the Pier Community Funeral Home for you guidance and professionalism. To anyone who helped in any way, we are most grateful.
