At the time of his death, he was surrounded by his sons, sisters, and grandsons as well as many relatives and friends. His life passion was Indian education; his goal was to help provide a place for Indian people to find dignity in the education system. He was our rock, our stone from which we could draw upon for strength. It was an honour to walk on this earth with you. Jerry was predeceased by his parents John and Ida McLeod, his grandparents Peter and Mary Vandal, and Abel and Maggie McLeod. He is survived by his sons Noel McLeod, and Neal (Tasha Beeds), his grandsons Justin, Glen, Dakota, and Cody, his two sisters Joanne and Barbara and his brother Morris, his nieces and nephews John R., Jaye, Robin, Joelle, Bob, Nathan and his great-niece Fatima. His uncles and aunties Burton Vandal, Gertie Vandal, Nora and John Sanderson, Louisa Moostoos, Grace Vandal, Lloyd and Caroline McLeod and his numerous cousins.
