Card of Thanks
Kevin John MacDonald

We the family of the late Kevin MacDonald would like to offer a simple “THANK YOU” to all of the amazing people who showed compassion, kindness, thoughtfulness and offered support in so many different ways. These words, actions and deeds were so comforting and showed the true spirit of what it means to be charitable.
To all of the emergency responders who showed sincere empathy while quietly doing their deeply sensitive work. Thank you to everyone who called, visited, sent food, continued to send food, to those who quietly offered comfort and those who provided expressions of support and sympathy. The people who took the time to pay their respects – relatives, friends, childhood friends, neighbors, former co-workers, Myrna's co-workers, Tyler’s friends, to Long and McQuade and to the countless people who expressed the positive impact Kevin had on their lives.
The individuals who took part in the funeral celebration made it a fitting send off. To Majors Rocky and Janice Bishop for all their help. To Karen MacSween for her beautiful rendition of “In the Garden”. To Kevin’s brother Sheldon for the difficult yet amazing tribute to his big brother laced with memories, a touch of humor, and of course respect. To Michelle for the reading of the 23rd Psalm. To Brent for his exceptional singing of “Until Then” for his brother-in-law. Tyler’s accompaniment for both Karen and Brent and adding “Out on the Mira” was a final gift to his father and made our hearts swell with pride.
Thank you to the ladies of the Salvation Army, for the lovely tea following the burial and to those involved in the setup and cleanup. A heartfelt thank you to the pallbearers’ nephews Matthew, Blair Jr., Reilly, to nieces Katie and Jessica and to close family friend Joseph Gillis.
A sincere thank you to V.J. McGillivray Funeral Home, New Waterford for you kindness, understanding and compassion. No question or request was too big or too small. Your caring professionalism made this part of the journey less difficult.

Myrna, Tyler, Leona (Ona) and the MacDonald families
