On May 20th, 2019, Annie Marion Mikita (nee Payne), age 87, passed away peacefully at the Whisperwood Villa. Cherished wife of the late Andrew Mikita. Much loved mother of Karen (Gary) Ogle of Hartsville, PEI, Vivian (Colin) Farrar of Fredericton, NB, Patti (Rick) Hawkins of Victoria, BC and Andy (Kandis) Mikita of Victoria, BC. Loving Granny to Jodie and Drew Hawkins, Liam and Nigel Ogle, Shaun and Katie Farrar, Sam and Emmett Mikita and great grandmother to Charlie Hawkins. Marion was predeceased by her brother, Gordon (Mary) and parents, Mabel and Allen Payne. Marion was born in Mexico City and began her nursing career in Chicago where she met her husband-to-be Andrew. After raising their children on the west coast of Canada, Marion and family settled in Hunter River, PEI. Marion loved looking after her horses on their farm ‘across the pond’ and became an active volunteer with the Girl Guides and Brownies. Marion and Andrew’s ashes will be interned together at a later date along the North Shore where they had spent many days enjoying walks along the trails and beaches. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Pat and the Elephant of Charlottetown.
