Gayle MacKinnon
Gayle, 64, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on May 24, 2019, at the Halifax Infirmary QEII.
Born in Glace Bay she was the daughter of the late Fred and Madeleine Adshade.
Gayle graduated from Morrison Glace Bay High in 1972 and began her career as an insurance Broker with her father. For over 40 years Gayle worked in the insurance industry and recently retired from MacLeod Lorway Insurance Sydney.
Gayle is survived by sisters, Kim (Gary) O'Donnell, Dartmouth, NS, Janet (Andy) Harvey, River Ryan, NS, Tanya (Michael) Tynski, Summerside, PEI; brother, Gary (Bernadette) Adshade, Glace Bay, NS; nieces and nephews, Kevin, Kyle, Tiffany, Allison, Andrew, Keith, Even, Mikaela, Emily and Marissa.
Besides her parents she was predeceased by husband, Ted O'Leary and niece, Sarah Beth Tynski in infancy.
Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of Patten Funeral Home. Private family graveside service will take place at a later date.
Donation may be made in Gayle's memory to a charity of one's choice.
