ELSIE ALDOUS
January 9, 1938 – September 2, 2009
Mom passed away peacefully Wednesday, September 2, 2009 in Prince Albert with family by her side. She was predeceased by her parents Walter and Katie, her husband Bob; her brother Marian. Mom will be lovingly remembered by her children Debbie Aldous-Ibbitson (Curtis), Darrell Aldous (Linda), Sherry Aldous-Jenkins (Derrick), Lorrie Aldous; her grandchildren Charlise and Kaylla Aldous, Scott and Travis Jenkins; her brother Archie Gakan (Bev); her sister-in-law Vera Walkington; her numerous nieces, nephews and Dale Vivian. Mom grew up on the family farm in Foxford. She met Dad (Bob) at Fort Qu’Appelle and was married for 49 years. She loved cooking, baking, playing cards, working in the garden and flowers. She enjoyed going for coffee with friends. She was also very interested in her grandchildren and loved watching their sports and other activities. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy. She was the best mother and grandmother anyone could ever ask for, very caring and compassionate. Mom worked at OK Economy in Prince Albert for 24 years before retiring and had numerous co-workers, who were like family to her. A private family celebration of Elsie’s life will be held. Interment will take place in the Garden of Sermon on the Mount, Prince Albert Memorial Gardens.
