JOHNSON, Peter Ernest, 68, Greenville - It is with great sorrow that we announce the sudden passing of Peter Ernest Johnson our beloved brother, son, uncle, great uncle and great great uncle on July 1st, 2019. An outdoorsman, Peter was an avid hunter and angler and loved animals of all kinds; especially his rabbit hound “Dodger “. He was a collector of antiques of various shapes and sizes. Gardening and charcoal drawing were also two of his greater passions. He enjoyed his immediate family and a very small circle of close friends. He is survived by mother, Arvella (Belle) Johnson; brothers, Junior; Calvin (Ramona), Colin (Louise); sisters, Linda Desmond (Jim); Joan Matthews; Cathy Thomas; Sandra Smith (Calvin); Donna Johnson (Gerald). He was predeceased by his father, George Johnson; brother, Ronald Johnson. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Sweeny’s Funeral Home and Crematorium, Yarmouth. The funeral took place on Saturday, July 6th at 2 pm from Sweeny’s Funeral Home Chapel, Reverend Raymond Pitcher officiated. The family has requested there will be no visitation or flowers. Donations in memory may be made to Greenville Baptist Church or the SPCA (Yarmouth).
