It is with profound sadness that the family of Gunner, Jared Bailey announce his passing on July 2, 2019, at Hospice House, Fredericton, NB. Born on October 15, 1992, in New Glasgow, NS, he was the son of James and Janet (Dickson) Bailey. In addition to his parents, Jared will be greatly missed by his loving wife, Rachel (Mahoney) Bailey and their adorable daughter, Lucille Dawn Bailey; their charismatic pupperdoo, Canna; brother, Jacob Bailey (Stephanie Brideau); special cousins, Gabrielle Bailey, Christina Bailey, Mary Bailey, Christopher Teiman, Lauren Teiman, and Lindsay Moore; as well as several aunts and uncles. Jared spent his life brightening the hearts and selflessly carrying the loads of others. He meant the world to so many and brought joy and laughter with him wherever he went. He will be missed beyond belief and a hole, that can never be filled, is left in his place. Jared was predeceased by his paternal grandfather, Jim Bailey Sr.; maternal grandparents, Douglas and Betty Dickson and a brother, whom was a long-time cancer fighter, David Fang Xu. Visitation was held on Friday, July 5, from 6-9 pm at Oromocto Funeral Home, 108 Winnebago St, Oromocto, NB. The funeral service was held from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 986 Smythe St, Fredericton, NB, on Saturday, July 6, 2019 at 1 pm. Bishop Robb MacGougan will officiate. For those who wish, memorial donations in Jared's memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Research Society or the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital Foundation directed to the Pediatric Department.
