RITA BOURQUE - 1924 - 2011 - Rita Bourque, 86, of Villa du Repos and formerly of Moncton passed away, surrounded by her family, on Friday, June 10th, 2011, at her residence. Born in MacDougall Settlement, NB, she was the daughter of the late Adelard and the late Madeleine (née: Léger) Poirier. Mrs. Bourque always had a smile for everyone, she was an accomplished seamstress, enjoyed gardening and playing bridge. She was a member of Christ-Roi Parish. She is survived by her husband, Henri Bourque; one daughter, Carol (Dale) Bourque-Finnessy of Moncton; two sons: Michel of Moncton and Dennis (Marianne) of Dieppe; three sisters: Thérese (late Harry) Boland of Toronto, ON, Aline (Paul) Boudreau of Moncton and Bernadette (late Gerard) Robichaud of MacDougall Settlement; six brothers: Robert (Marie-Jeanne) Poirier of Moncton, René (Noella) Poirier of Notre-Dame, Guy (Anna) Poirier of Shediac, Lionel (Fernande) Poirier of Notre-Dame, Gerard (Rose) Poirier of Shediac River and Lawrence (late Stella) Poirier of Shediac Cape; three sisters-in-law: Marceline Poirier of Notre-Dame, Lea Poirier of Moncton and Irene Poirier of Toronto, ON; three grand-daughters: Chantalle, Danielle and Rachel as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by one son, Claude in 1955 and also by four brothers: Armand, Léandre, Rodolphe and Ulysse.
Visitation will be held from the Chartersville Funeral Home, 363 Amirault Street, Dieppe, 857-1901, on Sunday from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm and also on Monday from 12: 30 pm until time of departure. Funeral mass will be celebrated from Christ-Roi Roman Catholic Church, Moncton, NB on Monday, June 13th, 2011, at 2 pm. Interment in Notre-Dame-du-Calvaire Cemetery, Dieppe, NB.
