Esther and Albert were married for 35 loving years.
They spent many years camping, having fun family barn dances and enjoying their hobby farm in Langley, B.C. Also backyard baseball games, enjoyed rodeos, family drives, and bi-weekly family outings for Chinese food. Esther also loved her card games, playing rummykub and kings corners. Esther loved her music and she loved to read. She was a jack of all trades who worked in many different places, the Bayshore Inn, Roman Moulders, St. Mary's Hospital in New Westminster, Sparpack and she managed a laundromat in Langley and also did housekeeping. She volunteered her time whenever possible doing the church bulletins, assembling silverware for CN Rail at the Cottonwood Manor, also volunteering for the Christmas amalgamated. Esther also was a supporter of many charities. Esther loved her special talks and sleepovers with her children and grandchildren, family was very important to her. She was known by all as the spunky one, the life of the party and she could outshop anyone! She was well known to everyone for her warm generous hugs & kisses, & she also had an ear to listen and arms to hold whenever someone needed her. She made friends where ever she went, as she was a real people person, and known by many as a good sport. Esther also was a WAC for the Second World War.

Esther was blessed to meet and marry another wonderful man Ben Cross and his three grown sons Jack, Bill & Marvin. They spent thirteen enjoyable years together travelling overseas, and RVing and made their home in Langley, BC. They spent the winters in Arizona where they also had a home. Esther also made many friends there & continued her volunteering work there at the clubhouse, organizing dances, potlucks, road trips etc. Esther lived at the Cottonwood Manor for many years and due to her eyes deteriorating moved to the Renaissance where she spent the last three years happy, well loved and cared for which gave us great comfort knowing this. She was known as the "Ambassador of the Renaissance". She will be loved & dearly missed by her children, numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren & great great-grand daughter & all her many nieces, nephews and many, many friends.
