Max passed away at the age of 70 in Edmonton, Alberta. He was born in Kitty's Brook, Newfoundland. At the age of 2, his family relocated to Deer Lake, Newfoundland, where he married and raised his family of six. Max will be dearly missed by his loving wife of 52 years, Violet; his sons, Max (Sharon), Gary (Barb), Byron (Mavia), Cliff (Patricia), and Tony (Shellan); his daughter, Angela (Lawrence) Kay; ten grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; his sisters, Esther and Viola (Glynn); his brother, Winston (Annette), as well as numerous other family members and friends. He is predeceased by his parents, Nathaniel and Margaret; his daughter, Roxanne Sharon, as well as his brother, Art, and his sister, Judy. A Public Viewing will be held on Tuesday, June 14, 2011 from 6-8 p.m. at Glenwood Funeral Home, south of Wye Road on Range Road 232 in Sherwood Park, Alberta. A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, June 15, 2011 at 2 p.m. at the same location. A Special Thanks to the staff at Jubilee Lodge, the doctors and nurses at the Royal Alexandra Hospital, as well as Majors Ted and Phyllis Percy of The Salvation Army for their care and compassion.
