It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we the family announce the passing of Phyllis Mae MacLean, age 81, of North Ave., New Glasgow, on Friday, September 4, 2009, in the Aberdeen Hospital New Glasgow, after a brief illness, surrounded by her loving family.
Born in New Glasgow, she was a daughter of the late Howard and Bertha (Smith) Hoar. She was a former employee of MT&T. She was a member or Our Lady of Lourdes Roman Catholic Church.
She is survived by her husband: Charles A. MacLean; daughters: Terry-Anne Gladney, Stellarton; Debra (Millan Fraser), Churchville; sons: Doane (Brenda), New Glasgow; Phillip (Cindy), New Glasgow; Kevin (Joan), Hopewell; Mark (Marie), Egerton; Allie, Peterborough, ON; 17 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; sister: Doris Pierno, California; brother: Foster Hoar, Riverton.
Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation by request. A private family service was held with burial in Holy Cross Cemetery.
