December 22, 1934 - June 15, 2011

John Alfred Ball was born in Holdfast, Sask., on December 22, 1934 to Barbara and Albin Ball. His love for horses came from his years of growing up on a farm. He would often tell us stories of the hard work and fun he shared with his siblings, brother, Valentine, sisters, Amelia, Elfreda, Delores, and Rita.

He moved his young family to BC in 1960, where he worked in the logging industry for many years. Dad was happiest surrounded by his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Papa, you will be sadly missed.

He is survived by Flo, the mother of his six children; Rick, Rhonda, Lee, John (Michelle), Kelly (John) and Donald, 13 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents, a sister, and his brother.

A gathering to celebrate Papa’s life will be held on Wednesday, June 22 at 2 pm at Kamloops Funeral Home Reception Hall, 285 Fortune Drive, Kamloops, BC.
