It is with great sadness that the family of the late Doyle Janes announce his passing on Thursday, September 10th, 2009 at the W.M.R.Hospital in his 89th year. He will be sadly missed by his wife of 56 years Margaret (nee Cross); his children Sheila (Jerry) McDonald, Blackfalds, Alberta, Mary (Larry) Reid of Reidville, Rowena (Peter) Hawkey-Noble, Hampton, NB and Douglas (Krystal) of Dartmouth, NS. Seven grandchildren Jason (Stephanie), Troy (Terri), Helena (Neil), Sabrina, Alexia, Anthony and Andrew. Four great-grandchildren Hannah, Claudia, Ethan and Mikkayla. Brothers Aubrey (Bonnie), Ford (Bertha), Oliver and Lloyd. Sisters Joan Easton and Hilda Bingle; sisters-in-law Glady Janes, Grace Bailey, Patricia Stewart, Jan (Robert) Wilton, Lillian (Russell) Reid, Brenda (Ronald) Pye, Diane Cross, brother-in-law Donald (Shirley) Cross, Melvin (Wavey) Cross and Winston Wiseman. Also a large circle of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents Edwin & Maud; grandson Patrick Hawkey-Noble; brothers Baxter, Everett, Chesley and Douglas, sister Ethel Easton, mother and father-in-law Henry & Bride Cross, brothers-in-law George Bailey, Walter Easton, Henry BIngle, Jack Easton, sisters-in-law Julia Wiseman, Gertie Janes and Evelyn Janes. Visitation will take place from Parsons Funeral Home & Chapel, 63 Northmain Street Deer Lake today, Friday, Sept. 11, 2009 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm and Saturday, Sept. 12, 2009 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral service will take place on Sunday, Sept. 13, 2009 at 2:30 pm from the Salvation Army Church in Deer Lake with Majors Wayne & Betty Ann Pike officiating. Burial to follow at the family plot on Wights Road. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Salvation Army Building Fund.
