The death occurred peacefully with her daughter by her side at the Wedgewood Manor on Friday, June 17, 2011 of Margaret (Mackie) Noel of Summerside, aged 95 years. Born in The Gardiner Mines, Cape Breton, she was the daughter of the late Patrick and Mary (MacDonald) Mackie. Survived by her children Len (Rose) Noel, Joan McIsaac, Frank (Brenda) Noel, Sheila (Russell) Curran, eight grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren, sisters Isabel and Alice, also adopted daughter Sylvia. She was predeceased by her husband and eight brothers. All funeral arrangements took place at McGillvary's Funeral Home in Cape Breton, N.S.
