It is with saddened hearts that we announce the passing of our brother, Albert ‘Abbie’ Iannetti on Thursday, June 23, 2011, at the Northside General Hospital.
Born in Sydney Mines, he was the son of Antonio and Julia Iannetti.
Abbie was the owner/operator of Abbie’s Excavating until his retirement. In the course of his business he made many good friends and was well liked by all.
He was a member of St. Pius X parish, Sydney Mines.
He is survived by his brothers, John and James (Pauline), Sydney Mines; his sisters, Rosina (John) Arsenault and Norena, Sydney Mines and by numerous nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Shirley (Pero); his brothers, Joseph, Patsy, Louie, Emilio, Armando and Frankie and his sister, Litizia.
There will be no visitation. Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11 a.m. Monday in St. Pius X Church with Fr. Ajit Kirketta officiating. Burial in St. Joseph Cemetery.
Donations in Abbie’s memory may be made to St. Joseph-St. Mary’s Cemetery Fund.
