HUMBY, Flossie Dora – April 22, 1921 – June 23, 2011. Passed peacefully away at her home on Thursday June 23, 2011 Flossie Dora Humby of Musgravetown in her 90th year. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are her loving husband of almost 75 years, Barnett Humby; and eight children: Emma (Andrew), Maxwell (Verna), Donald (Brenda), Major Ruth, William (Shirley), James (Colleen), Bernard (Joan) and Melvin (Linda); 12 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren plus a large circle of other family and friends. Pre-deceased by her parents William and Emma Holloway, baby son, sister Mary and brother Hubert. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Salvation Army Organ Fund or The Gideon’s. Funeral service was officiated by Majors Ed and Luanne Barrow on Sunday June 26, 2011 from Islandview Salvation Army Citadel Musgravetown with interment following at the Old Salvation Army Cemetery. Pallbearers were sons Maxwell, Donald, William, James, Bernard and Melvin Humby. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Blundons Funeral Home – Shoal Harbour.
