WOODLAND, GRETCHEN - Gretchen Mary Woodland of Woodstock, formerly of McAdam, passed away on Monday, July 4, 2011 at the Upper River Valley Hospital in Waterville. She was born November 28, 1920 and was the daughter of the late Lawrence and Blanche (Cyr) Mockler. She was predeceased by husbands, Ronald Jones in 1944, Eldon "Pete" Woodland in 2008; daughter-in-law Betty (Charters) Jones; sisters, Muriel Hanson, Berdina LeBlanc; brothers, Weldon Mockler, Roland Mockler; brothers-in-law, Henry LeBlanc, Wilton Knox; sister-in-law, Dorothy Mockler. Gretchen is survived by her children, Ken (Gwen) Jones of Florenceville-Bristol, NB, Brenda (John) Robison of Fredericton, NB; grand daughter, Kimberly (Randall) Roberts of Hope, BC, great grandchildren, Christopher, Andrew and Bronte; grand daughter, Judy (Greg) Anderson of McAdam, NB, great grandchildren, Jennifer (Charlie) and Jason, great great grandson, Isaac; grand daughter, Krista (Roy) Christie of McAdam, NB, great grandchildren, Heather and Bradley; grand daughter, Carolyn (Chris) Campbell of Wolfville, NS, great grandchildren, Emily, Caitlin and John; grandson, Brian Robison (Vickie Ross) of Fredericton, NB, great grandchildren Vincent, Joseph and Colin; step grand daughter, Valerie (Kirk) Ebbett of Florenceville-Bristol, NB, step great grandchildren, Lauren and Oliver; step grandson, Gary (Natalie) Cullins of Florenceville-Bristol, NB, step grandchild, Reece; sister, Elwina Knox of Colorado; brothers, Lynwood (Rena) Mockler, Oromocto, NB, Alvin "Doug" (Evelyn) Mockler, Fredericton, NB, Eugene "Pete" (Doris) Mockler of Fredericton, NB, Allison (Bonnie) Mockler of Oromocto, NB, Hubert (Trudy) Mockler of Toronto, ON; sister-in-law, Lil Mockler of Fredericton, NB; brother-in-law, James Hanson of East Falmouth, MA; many nieces and nephews.
By Gretchen's request there will be no visitation. A memorial service will be held on Friday, July 8, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. from St. Paul's United Church in McAdam. Interment will be in the Rockland Cemetery in McAdam. If so desired donations can be made to St. Paul's United Church.
