IVY JANE RICE
1929 – 2010
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Ivy Jane Rice announces her passing at the Green Bay Health Centre in Springdale on June 30, 2011 at the age of 82. Ivy was a member of the Springdale Pentecostal Church. Predeceased by husband John Rice; parents Harriett & Elijah Mercer; brother Elijah and special friend Wilmore Williams. Left with fond and loving memories are her sons: George (Pearl) of Bishop’s Falls, Paul (Mabel) of Corner Brook, Harvey (Barbara) of Springdale, Ford; daughters: Verna (James Stagg) of Bonavista, Madge (Rodney Toms) of LaScie, Jacqueline (Bill Evans) of Grand Falls-Windsor and Marjorie (Duncan Parsons) of Springdale. Also leaving to mourn 16 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. Pastor Lindsey Foster assisted by Pastor Rowsell conducted the funeral service from the Pentecostal Church in Springdale on Saturday, July 2, 2011. Interment was at the Pentecostal Cemetery. Pallbearers were George Rice, Madge Toms, Harvey Rice, Jacqueline Evans, Ford Rice and Duncan Parsons.
