CORBIN, Isabel Esther - 88, formerly of Kentville, passed away Wednesday, July 13, 2011 in Grand View Manor, Berwick. Born in Kentville, she was a daughter of the late Walter and Jessie (Chestnut) Farris. She is a member of the Kentville United Baptist Church. She was a supporter of the Canadian Red Cross having donated blood over 50 times and received a certificate in honour of her dedication and support. She is survived by two sons, Richard (Mona), Kentville; Brian (Jill), Ottawa, Ontario; a sister, Helen Fitzpatrick, Bayfield, New Brunswick; a half brother, Russell Farris, Kentville; a grandson, Brad (Cherie); 4 great grandchildren, Kyle, Tyler, Gavin and Brianna; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Daniel; a grandson, David; three brothers, Robert, Carl and Harold. Visitation was held from 7-9 p.m. Friday, July 15, 2011 in the White Family Funeral Home, Kentville, where the funeral service followed by a reception was held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 16, 2011, Reverend Doctor Judith Saunders officiating. Burial took place in the Elm Grove Cemetery, Steam Mill. Family flowers only by request. Donations in memory may be made to Grand View Manor or the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia.
