Hambrook, Grady - The death of Grady Roger Hambrook husband of Karen (MacDonald) Hambrook of Miramichi occurred at the Miramichi Regional Hospital on Tuesday, July 19, 2011 at the age of 54. Born in Miramichi, NB, Grady was the son of the late Floyd and Joyce (Grady) Hambrook. Grady was an Insurance Agent for Co-Operators Insurance, Senator of Miramichi Jaycees, member of the Greater Miramichi Chamber of Commerce and the Newcastle Business District Association.
Besides his wife Karen, Grady is survived by two sons: Skylar (Erin) and Adam (Erica) all of Miramichi, NB; two sisters: Gwen Cober (Jay) of Lodi, California and Ellen Hambrook (Fay) of Edmonton, Alberta; four brothers: Terry (Nancy Lee) of Miramichi, NB, Phillip (Brenda) of Fredericton, NB, Calvin (Allen) of Toronto, ON and Jeff (Jennifer) of Blackville, NB; three grandchildren: Blake, Blair and Graydon and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at Bell’s Funeral Home on Wednesday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 and Thursday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9. Funeral Service will be held from St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, Newcastle Blvd, Miramichi on Friday, July 22, 2011 at 11 AM with The Ven Richard Steeves and Father Gerry Laskey officiating. Burial will follow in the Miramichi Cemetery. In Grady’s memory a donation may be made to the QE II Cancer Research Centre and the Miramichi Regional Hospital Foundation.
