M. Donald Boucher
9 juin 1951 – 30 janvier 2022

Donald avait beaucoup d’amis.
Donald Boucher
June 9, 1951 – January 30, 2022

Dear Donald, gone too soon! Born in Montreal in 1951 Don’s life got off to a difficult start. His parents both died while still a teen. His younger sibling Francine moved to New Brunswick to be raised there by relatives. Most impacting, he was born with the lifelong burden of cerebral palsy. Fine motor control affected everything, from writing to eating to dressing to driving to keyboarding (all so central to a carefree life) and rendered Don’s prospects challenging in the extreme. Don, however, was more than ready for the assignment. He treated his shakes as a ‘traveling companion that he had to get along with’. His humour smoothed many bumpy roads. His intellect, determination and hard work, once out of the confines of Montreal and in the warm embrace of Sutton Township, allowed Don to thrive…as the welcoming face to thousands of skiers arriving at Mont Sutton, as the learned hand churning out hundreds of tax returns for Sutton residents and as a very talented landscaper and stone worker. Donald built a strong place for himself amongst a loving community of friends. Don liked the occasional beer, ‘medicine for the tremors’, and shared a fair bit of medicine in the old Auberge Glen Sutton, Camille’s, the Mocador and mainly at his home address near chemin Maple. Don leaves in mourning his sister Francine Phillips and her husband Stafford Phillips of Lower Coverdale, N.B., his nephew Matthew Phillips (Lisa Phillips), his niece Christine Phillips and their children. Not to mention numerous friends in the Sutton area. His dear Lise surely awaits him now for new celestial adventures. Arrangements entrusted to the
