The death occurred suddenly at Vancouver General Hospital on Monday, September 21, 2009 of Cyril Alexander McCormick of Vancouver, B.C., age 71.
Cyril was born in Canso, N.S., the son of the late Harry McCormick and Sylvia (Carr) McCormick MacLean. He was the dear brother of Ruth O’Halloran (Earl), Melford, N.S., Leo (Suzanne), North Rustico, P.E.I., Peter (Lorraine) MacLean, Chester, N.S., Tommy (Trudy) MacLean, Terrace, B.C., and Sperry MacLean, Zurich, Switzerland. Cyril is also remembered by five nieces and four nephews. He was predeceased by two infant sisters; a niece, Michelle O’Halloran; and his stepfather, Thomas MacLean.
A private family committal service will take place at a later date at the Star of the Sea Cemetery in Canso, N.S.
