David Helmer Oakley--January 22, 1932
David Helmer Oakley passed away in Victoria Jubilee Hospital July 22, 2011. Predeceased by sisters Greta Miller, Loretta Funk, granddaughters Adriane and Alison Oakley. Survived by his loving wife of 58 years Emily, sons Brian and Cam, great-grandson Seth and favorite niece Jackie Nichols. Helmer enjoyed his collection of cars, sailing and winters in Honolulu. He looked forward to his annual trips to Moose Jaw for get-togethers with his coffee buddies and memorable happy times with family and friends. No funeral by request. Cremation will follow and a family gathering will be held at a later date. Flowers gratefully declined.
