McCLUSKEY, DR. ALAN HENRY - Dr. Alan McCluskey, 50, of Dartmouth, NS, passed away suddenly Tuesday, July 26, 2011. He will be dearly missed by his parents, Leonard and Hermance McCluskey of Mirimichi, NB, and also his partner Tom DeBaie, sisters Pam (Greg) Hollis (Saint John, NB), Liz (Brian) O'Shea (Douglas, NB), and nephews Derek and Dakota, and niece Pam. He was predeceased by his brother Leonard "Mickey" McCluskey. Born in Saint John, NB, Alan grew up in Miramichi, NB. He graduated from Dalhousie University with a Bachelor of Science degree and also a Doctor of Dental Surgery, fulfilling his childhood ambition of becoming a dentist. He was a member in both the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry and the Canadian Academy of Esthetic Dentistry. An accomplished piano player, Alan also had a flare for cooking and a passion for entertaining,
Visitation will be 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm Friday, July 29, 2011 at Dartmouth Funeral Home, 29 Queen St. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10 am July 30, 2011 at St. Peter's Church, 10 Maple St., Dartmouth with father James Richards presiding. Family flowers only please. Donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
