Larry Landry
LANDRY, LARRY - Larry Landry, 83, of Cap Pelé passed away with his family by his side on Thursday, July 28, 2011 at the Dr. Georges L. Dumont University Hospital Centre, Moncton following a brief illness. Born August 31, 1927 in Cap Pelé, he was the son of the late William and Léonie (Léger) Landry. Prior to his retirement, Larry worked as a farmer and fish processor. He was a past member of the Cap Pelé Club de l'âge d'or. Larry will be sadly missed by his loving family, wife of 61 years, Cécile (Donelle) Landry, six daughters: Patricia Richard (Joseph) of Haute Aboujagane, Linda LeBlanc (Donald) and Laurine LeBlanc (Michel) both of Bas Cap Pelé, Claire Saulnier (Emery) of Trois Ruisseaux, Linda LeBlanc (Reggie) of Shemogue, Bernice LeBlanc (Mike) of Edmonton, AB; three sons: Louis Landry (Sandra) and Fernand Jacob (Roberte) of Bas Cap Pelé, Richard Landry (Denise) of Dieppe; two sisters: Doris Landry of Fitchburg, Mass. and Violette Ouellette (Yvon) of Moncton; 20 grandchildren: Lisa, Serge, Mario, Marc, Brigitte, Marcia, Julie, Janik, Danielle, Renée, Nistelle, Bianca, Alexandre, Natalie, Stephanie, Tyrone, Samantha, Luc, Kory and Mathieu; 7 great grandchildren: Priya, Ashley Lindsay, Sébastien, Lexie, Amélie and Samuel and "two on the way"; and by many nephews, nieces and friends. He is predeceased by two grandchildren: Monica and Jenny, and by several brothers and sisters: Joseph, Aldoria, Laurine, Edouard, Marie, Laura, Marguerite, Augusta and William.
Visitation at Funérarium Frenette, 2642 Acadie Rd., Cap Pelé (577-3297) on Sunday, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. and Monday, from 9:30 a.m. until time of departure at 10:20 a.m. Funeral mass will be celebrated at Ste Thérèse d'Avila Roman Catholic Church, Cap Pelé on Monday, August 1st, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. Interment will be in the parish cemetery.
