On Monday, July 25, 2011, Joseph MacInnis passed away at home, surrounded by his loving family, at the age of 49, following a courageous 16-month battle with cancer.
Joe always had a smile on his face and a sparkle in his eye, and never gave up his fight. He was an inspiration to all of us, in return giving us the strength needed to help him through his battle.
Joseph is survived by his loving wife of 29 years, Geraldine; his two children, Meghan and Ryan; his grandchildren, Casey (Little Joe) and Jacob; his parents, Sonny and Rose; his siblings, Angela, Peggy, Roddie, Annais, Mona Lisa, Helena and Neil; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
A public viewing will be held on Tuesday, Aug. 2, 2011, at 7 p.m. at Glenwood Funeral Home, south of Wye Road on Range Road 232 in Sherwood Park, Alta. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, Aug. 3, 2011, at 11 a.m. at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Roman Catholic Church, 13 Brower Dr., Sherwood Park.
