Surrounded by his loving family, the death occurred at the Prince Edward Home on Sunday, July 31, 2011, of Peter Alphonsus Doyle, of 89 Kensington Road, Charlottetown, age 94 years.
Beloved husband of Colleen Doyle (nee Gaudet) and loving father of Patricia (Brian) Gill, Joseph (Gisele), Michael (Lise), Terry (Bonnie), Marlene, Danny (Rita), Valerie (Randall) Kott, Kevin, Mary Theresa (Peter) Sharkey, Carol, Christine (Leslie) MacDonald and Peter. Peter is lovingly remembered by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by sisters, Mary Murphy (Oswald) and Kathleen MacDonald (Athol) and son-in-law, Ken MacIntyre.
Resting at Hillsboro Funeral Home, 2 Hollis Ave., Stratford, for visitation on Tuesday, August 2, 2011, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, August 3, at St. Pius X Church, Charlottetown, at 10 a.m. Interment will follow in the Roman Catholic Cemetery.
As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to St. Pius X Memorial Fund or to Pat and the Elephant would be appreciated.
The Royal Canadian Legion, Charlottetown Branch No. 1 will hold a service of remembrance on Tuesday, August 2, 2011, at the funeral home at 6:45 p.m.
